WE ARE OPEN AND CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOUR PUP!!

RuffCity’s top priority is the safety of our clients, our team and the pets in our care.

After a temporary shutdown from March 22nd – June 14th, we are thrilled to be open for business and accepting bookings and new pups into the RuffCity family!

The safety of our clients and our team (both four-legged and two) has always been our number one priority and continues to be during the pandemic.

We have developed the following sanitation and social distancing protocols. By observing these changes to our operating procedures, we are confident that we will be able to smoothly resume providing you and your pup the same quality of care and love that we have for the last 10 years.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Basic Sanitation
Our team should not touch their face, mouth, or eyes with their hands.

Face Masks
We will be providing everyone on the team with washable and reusable face masks. Until otherwise notified, our team are always to wear a mask when in a client’s home and building (including elevators, hallways and lobbies)

If a face mask makes your pup reactive or apprehensive, the mask may be removed briefly as a calming tactic. The mask will be put back on as soon as it is safe.

Hand Sanitizer/Hand Washing
We will also be providing everyone on our team with hand sanitizer which they are to use just prior to entering your home.

If hand sanitizer is not available, our team will wash their hands upon entering your home and as needed throughout the visit.

Handling of Equipment
Each of our walkers will be provided with a 6ft leash of their own to avoid needing to use your personal leash. If you would prefer we continue to use your pup’s regular leash we can do that instead.

We are also happy to disinfect any of your personal walking gear post-walk if a cleaner is provided.

Social Distancing
Our team will make their best efforts to maintain a minimum of six feet between themselves and others whenever possible. This includes clients, people walking on the street and other team members.

No-Contact Policy
A “No Contact” Policy will apply to owners that are home when we arrive for a visit. Sitters and clients are to maintain a six (6) foot distance from one another as much as possible. When appropriate, we will call for the dog and have the dog greet them at the door to begin their walk. When this is not possible, the six (6) foot rule applies.

Sickness and Exposure
Employees who show symptoms of acute respiratory illness will be removed from the schedule and will not return to work until they have been medically cleared to do so.

If an employee tests positive or has been exposed to COVID-19, RuffCity management will inform employees or clients of their possible exposure in the workplace but maintain confidentiality when possible as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
