Liz – Uptown

My name is Liz and I have adored animals as far back as I can remember. I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with pet dogs, cats, and birds. My family brought home our first dog, a laid-back beagle named Maxie, when I was seven years old, followed by Mocha, a zany, energetic mixed breed. I cherished my role as the designated dog walker of the family; I loved being outside and bonding with our dogs on walking adventures. I also enjoyed riding horses and assisting new riders at my local stable during my childhood and for several years as a teenager.

After earning a degree in Creative Writing at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and studying abroad at Meidai in Nagoya, Japan, I moved to New York City in 2005 to pursue a music career. I am currently the vocalist and co-songwriter for the electronic music group, The Never Content. I also enjoy recreational running and training for road races.

Our relationships with our dogs are such satisfying, emotionally rewarding experiences, and I respect and understand this special connection. It would be my pleasure to help care for and spend time with your lovable pup.

I am thrilled to be a part of the team at RuffCity and I look forward to my adventures with your pups!
